"I never thought I'd be asking Cher to hold my meat purse."

That was Lady Gaga's unusual opening statement when she stepped onstage at MTV's Video Music Awards Sunday to receive her Video of the Year award from pop legend Cher.

After arriving at the ceremony in a dress from the late designer Alexander McQueen's final collection and then changing into a weighty, architectural gown and spiky crown by Giorgio Armani, Gaga turned heads (and we'd have to imagine noses) in her final outfit, a Franc Fernandez dress (plus boots, hat, and purse) cut together from what appeared to be slabs of raw meat. The outfit echoed the controversial meat bikini she recently wore for the cover of Vogue Hommes Japan.

After the show, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Gaga tried to explain that the dress was a political statement. Discussing how she'd been escorted to the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles by members of the U.S. military who had been discharged from the service due to the Don't Ask, Don't Tell policy, Lady Gaga said: "It is a devastation to me that I know my fans who are gay ... feel like they have governmental oppression on them. That's actually why I wore the meat tonight."

DeGeneres, a famous vegan who often speaks out on behalf of animal rights, pounced on the topic while keeping her distance from the dress. "It's certainly no disrespect to anyone that's vegan or vegetarian," Gaga responded. "As you know, I am the most judgment-free human being on the earth. It has many interpretations, but for me this evening, it's 'If we don't stand up for what we believe in, we don't fight for our rights, pretty soon we're gonna have as much rights as the meat on our bones.'"

Gesturing to the Japanese Vogue cover, she snarled and added, "And I am not a piece of meat."

DeGeneres didn't seem to buy that fairly speciously reasoned explanation, and instead offered Lady Gaga an outfit that didn't need to be butchered: a vegetable bikini and skirt made of corn husks. "It's fabulous! Oh it's kale!" Gaga said. "Well, it's the best of both worlds, you and me, Ellen."

The meat dress's designer, Franc Fernandez, has yet to issue any statements about his unusual gown -- or confirm whether it was truly made of actual meat -- but he retweeted Cher's compliment: "The way it was cut & fitted to her body was AMAZING ! Meat purse was genius ! As Art piece it was astonishing! No moral Judgement!" Fernandez, who has also dressed Beyoncé and Christina Aguilera, made the diamond headpiece Gaga wore in the video for "Bad Romance," which picked up seven of the singer's eight VMA wins last night.

PETA, unsurprisingly, was less of a fan. The animal-rights advocacy organization quickly issued a statement condemning Gaga for her offbeat sartorial choice. "Meat is the decomposing flesh of a tormented animal who didn't want to die, and after a few hours under the TV lights, it would smell like the rotting flesh it is and likely be crawling in maggots -- not too attractive, really."

Gaga is just lucky no dogs -- or Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, for that matter -- were in the house that night.

What Causes Global Warming?
Scientists have spent decades figuring out what is causing global warming. They've looked at the natural cycles and events that are known to influence climate. But the amount and pattern of warming that's been measured can't be explained by these factors alone. The only way to explain the pattern is to include the effect of greenhouse gases (GHGs) emitted by humans.
To bring all this information together, the United Nations formed a group of scientists called the International Panel on Climate Change, or IPCC. The IPCC meets every few years to review the latest scientific findings and write a report summarizing all that is known about global warming. Each report represents a consensus, or agreement, among hundreds of leading scientists.

One of the first things scientists learned is that there are several greenhouse gases responsible for warming, and humans emit them in a variety of ways. Most come from the combustion of fossil fuels in cars, factories and electricity production. The gas responsible for the most warming is carbon dioxide, also called CO2. Other contributors include methane released from landfills and agriculture (especially from the digestive systems of grazing animals), nitrous oxide from fertilizers, gases used for refrigeration and industrial processes, and the loss of forests that would otherwise store CO2.

Different greenhouse gases have very different heat-trapping abilities. Some of them can even trap more heat than CO2. A molecule of methane produces more than 20 times the warming of a molecule of CO2. Nitrous oxide is 300 times more powerful than CO2. Other gases, such as chlorofluorocarbons (which have been banned in much of the world because they also degrade the ozone layer), have heat-trapping potential thousands of times greater than CO2. But because their concentrations are much lower than CO2, none of these gases adds as much warmth to the atmosphere as CO2 does.
In order to understand the effects of all the gases together, scientists tend to talk about all greenhouse gases in terms of the equivalent amount of CO2. Since 1990, yearly emissions have gone up by about 6 billion metric tons of "carbon dioxide equivalent" worldwide, more than a 20% increase.

I'm a mother of four - not of the human kind, but the furry, four-legged kind. Two cats, two dogs; and my experience of "puppy love" (and "kitty love") has provided great insight into people love. As I tell you about my brood, see if you notice a personal resemblance. Discussion In observing the personalities of my four children, I see common patterns of love behavior, some of which I myself have shown. Stella - the noisy neurotic - The epitome of "scaredy-cat." This is how our interactions go: She says (in loud, undeniable tones), "pet me pet me you must pet me please please please pet me! NOW! MEOW! NOW! MEOW!" Then, I go to reach for her and --- "Uh oh --- here comes the hand --- She's going to get me! RUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!!!!" Stella exhibits the "Come Here-Go Away" kind of love. Primo - the needy needler - Follows incessantly, won't let go. "What are you doing, where are you going, when will you get there? Don't leave me!! I can't let you out of my site. Something bad might happen! To me! And by the way, don't you want to pet me? Can I come along? I'm coming along. Ho dee hum. I'll just stand here and watch you until you pet me. Pet me, ok? I'm watching. When will you be petting me? Anytime soon? Huh? Huh? Huh???" He's sweet, but always underfoot. His is the Cling-On kind of love. Rover - the arrogant aristocat - I AM the king of the world. I'm marvelous and handsome. Of course you want to pet me! You MUST do everything I say. I'm going to sit in your lap. Do not move for the next hour, I don't care what you had planned to do. And I won't leave until you pet me. I insist. You can feed me too, while you're at it. You are my slave, oops --- I mean my mother, yes? And I AM so handsome, after all." Rover expects and demands love. If he weren't so cute, it might be a problem. Let's call this Entitlement Love. Rudy - the dude dog - Very laid back, so cool he's hot. "Yo! I'm hangin'. I'm over here whenever you're ready to come love on me. I'll look at you really cute so you know how much I love you, but I'm not budging. I need my beauty rest. Maybe I'll move if you talk nice. You can come get some of me if you want, but I'm staying put meantime. Just hangin'. Don't you think I'm adorable?" Rudy's a cutie, but sometimes one wishes he would be more proactive in the relationship. A Lazy Lover, I suppose. As any good mother will say, I love them all. And, there are those who are easier to love than others. The interesting thing is that these types aren't all bad - there are things we can learn from all of them. If you're a Noisy Neurotic, for example, it would help to take some lessons from the Lazy Lover. An Entitlement Lover can learn to make request with a bit of advice from the Cling-On.   Coaching These are just a few examples of how we do, or don't do, "being loved". And while puppy love may be "cute", it's much more fulfilling to have conscious, adult love. To graduate from puppy love to people love, start taking note of behaviors that may be keeping you stuck. Sometimes it's easier to recognize patterns in others than it is in ourselves, so it might be easier to start observing those around you. And as you can see, even our pets can teach us something about love, so watch them too. How easy are you to love? Do you make people work hard to get through? Do you shy away when love comes close? Do you avoid intimacy? Do you demand or beg? Do you give your love freely or does your love come with rules, caveats, or - worse - consequences? Do you hang out and wait for love to come along, feeling groovy in the meantime? Can you receive it when it comes to you, or do you run away? Do you have trouble trusting that love will stay? Does that make you a cling-on? Do you test people to see how much (or if) they really love you? Do you love blindly - ignoring signs of problems until it's too late? Do your claws come out when you're angry, or are you overly tame? Can you see other things people do that interfere with love that comes their way? Once you've begun to identify your behavior patterns, explore why. It helps to identify where you learned to do this. Unless you're aware of them, behaviors are conditioned responses. It takes a conscious effort, but when you actively look and why you do those things you do, you can re-condition yourself with new responses. So, keep observing yourself and look for yourself in others. What works, what doesn't work? The more you know about your love patterns, the more power you have to change them.   Parting Thoughts We all want to be loved. Problem is, many times we resist what we want most. And often we don't even know we're doing that. Going from puppy love (and kitty love, or even kiddie (childish)) love to healthy, human adult love requires self-awareness and a willingness to change. Yes, that takes effort, but you're worth it!

Passion For Your Business: You should be passionate about what you do and the business you want. This task will naturally require effort and commitment from you. It may seem tiring at times but learn how to keep a cool head and accomplish what needs to be accomplished. Balancing Your Professional Life With Your Personal Life: As your work will be taking up a lot of your time, you should learn how to balance it with your personal activities. It's nice and refreshing to take a break at times, and you'll need your mind to be fresh and alert when you encounter problems with your business. Don't forget to mind your health. A healthy body contributes to a healthy mind. Take exercises if you need to and power up. 

Continuous Research and Study: As business patterns and the economy evolve, it is wise to always keep up with the news and evolve with it. Jejemon History: How It All Began

Several years ago, a lot of the youth joined text messaging clans while others played online MMORPG games like Ragnarok, Flyff, and Gunbound. Some, with the urge to find and get to know people of all ages online, joined in social networks like Friendster and Multiply. At that time, Friendster was in while Facebook was not what it turned out to be at present.

Due to the necessity of having to relay a message abruptly so as not to be delayed in action (while playing, texting or commenting), they tried to make messages they type really short to an extent that every word was internally altered using numbers to creatively displace letters that would still make the words readable. Of course, Jejemonism was not that intense and obvious at that time. 

It took a longer time before the more educated ones realized that something's not right and one thing has to be done - to abide by what is being conventionally dictated by society. At that moment, many of the younger generation became adapted to this kind of typing style for they really thought that it was somehow cool,  manageable and widely accepted within their age range. It was the new hip at that time, but as it grew out of nowhere, concerned academic people took this as a threat to the educational standards. In time, Jejemonism became the latest source of boiling social debates.

As time propelled and confusion arose, people who got addicted to this type of grammar destruction were termed Jejemons and were subjected to social criticisms. Somehow, they were associated to the Jologs due to the similarities in their style and fashion statement. Not all Jejemons are Jologs since some only type Jejenese but do not wear the same attire the Jologs wear. Also, not all Jologs are Jejemons because Jologs love to use outdated or absurd attire while some do not type the Jeje way.

Because of their interest in meeting new friends online and group messaging in their respective clans, as well as that need to cope with what is happening around them, they too involved themselves on Facebook, recklessly adding new friends on their list and pleading "pLz aDd m3 p0whsz!". Who knows, they might just be on their way to join Twitter. :)

this is the sad story ahmmm una kala ko ang pagibig ay parang wala lang kasi di ko pa nasusubukan pero ngaun alam ko na ang pakiramdam ng masaktan at paglaruan una ako nagkagf since i was highschool kasi isa ako sa officer sa c.a.t. and i met this girl na 3rdyr ung parang sya lang laging laman ng utak ko pero nalaman ko di ko pala pwede mahalin ang babaeng nagpatibok ng puso ko dahil may bf cya so naging close friends kami dinadamayan ko pagmay problem cya nandun ako parati para sa kanya and then one time sa di inaasahang pangyayari naging kami at un na nagsimula ako ganahan sa buhay kaso sa mga nakaraang araw  naging sweet kami sa isa't isa nakilala ko ang kaibigan nya na taga sa amin lang din at dahil dun sabay kami pumapasok sa umaga  then bigla nlang siya nagbago ng di ko alam ang dahilan  tinanong ko ung mga kaibigan nya anu nangyari sa kaibigan nila sabi nila di daw nila alam un bigla nya kinuha lahat ng pinatago nya skeng mga letter galing sa ex nya means sila na ulit at parang panakit butas lang ako sakit pero un ang totoo  in few days nalaman ko rin ang dahilan kung bakit di nya ako pinapansin dahil nagkaroon sila ng kasunduan na di daw nya papansinin ung kayear ko at  di nako papansinin nung girl pero nalaman ko na may communication  pa rin pala sila ng xbf ng gf ko  ung ka year ko kaya sinabi ko sa kaibigan nya na ganun nga un  na niloloko lang cya nung ex nya  tpos nun di ko na pinapansin ung gf ko na ex ko na dahil nalaman ko un  after a week dumaan ako sa harap nila ng di ko sinasadya un kinausap niya ako  sabi nya humingi daw siya ng sign na pagdumaan daw ako kakausapin daw nya ako at magsosorry   e cya ung una ko minahal kaya pinagbigyan ko kaso para di na nagwowork so ako na ung umiwas masakit man pero mahal pa rin nya ex nya ako kasama nya pero ung ex parin nya ung nasa isip nya  sobrang sakit pero tanggap ko nu magagawa ko ganito ako pinanganak hayss...
